Morph (2023)
A cautionary tale where a young woman and her loving, single mother must figure out how to grapple with a disruptive obsession with attaining beauty led by facial dysmorphia and societal standards. Nicole wrote, produced, and directed this non-dialogue film.
Trying Again (2024)
Trying Again follows a single father who is approached with a proposition by his child's mother who left them for a life full of glitz and glam. As writer and director, Nicole developed the chemistry between both the characters and actors to illustrate the subtext in the script.
Fated Death (2023)
After the death of her boyfriend, a teenage girl begins to cope through writing in a journal, accidentally uncovering it’s hidden powers. During this project, Nicole stepped into the role of assistant director and learned how to alleviate production emergencies.
Neighbors (2023)
Neigbors is a short non-dialogue comedy following a battle between two neighbors. The film was honored by an industry panel as one of the Top 3 films during the GFS 101 Annual Public Screening, making it a recipient of a $1,000 cash prize. It also screened at this year’s Astoria Youth Film Festival. On this project, Nicole assisted the director, Ryo Schreifels, with liaising talent and lighting the film in a very small crew.
The Battles Within: The Pandemic's Effects on Today's Teens (2021)
The Battles Within is a short documentary Nicole directed and produced about the varied effects that COVID had on high school students. During production, she was able to hone in on her interviewing skills and edit together a meaningful story.
Cinematography & Director's Reel (2022)
This reel encompasses Nicole's cinematic and directorial highlights from her first two and a half years of filmmaking. Here, Nicole showcases her ability to capture and evoke the performance of raw human emotion. She also showcases her skill for editing here.
Like Mother, Like Daughter (2024)
When a newly divorced mother brings her young daughter out to a museum, she must figure out how to navigate alleviating her daughters frustrations and misunderstandings on the topic of the divorce. Serving as producer, assistant director, and casting director on this film, Nicole learned how best to support a director, cast, and crew.
Stalked (2023)
Stalked follows a teenage girl who enters a high school relationship where everything seems too good to be true. During the production of this short, Nicole was able to develop her directorial, producing, and art departmental skills.
Another Day at the DMV(?) (2022)
Another Day at the DMV...? is a satirical skit Nicole wrote and produced that questions why a license is required to drive a car but not to have a child, through a parody of the DMV. The skit won a Scholastic Gold Key and was featured at their exhibit in the MET. It was then screened at both the MOMI and Urbanite Teen Film Festivals.
